More Rantings and Ravings

It has been a long while since the last rants and ravings from my world was posted, so hang on to your hats, and away we go....

How many times do you go into a public place (Walmart, restaurasnts, or a convenience store) and see children running wild with no parental supervision? I mean they are screaming, crying, and just plain pitching a fit. They run in front of you as you are trying to negotiate the aisles in the grocery store. Meanwhile, uninterested mom or dad just sits there on their cell-phone either texting or playing a game. But, if you say anything about their lack of control of their child (as I have been known to do) they flip out and suddenly YOU are the asshole in the situation! WHY is this? I will tell you why! America has become a "ME" society, and if you are not trying to help this mother/father get along in their life of "Possessions" then you are trampling on their toes.

I propose this:
If YOU are going into public with your children, PLEASE, make sure your "darling little angels" are properly disciplined and know how to act in PUBLIC! First, make sure they are respectful of others around them. There is nothing worse than a child running through a restaurant playing hide-and-seek with their parents. Then there are the parents who have spoiled their children to the point that when they say "No, you can't have any ice cream," they go into a tantrum in front of God and everybody. I knew better than that by age 3! Had I pitched a fit in public, for ANY REASON, I would have gotten an ass whooping right there on the spot, and then, even worse when we got to the car! And God forbid if dad wast along....

Then there are what I call "Wal-Mart Screamers." These are the undisciplined children that you can hear screaming, at the top of their lungs, from across the store or restaurant! While dear old mom and/or dad just keep whispering, "That's not very nice" or "Do we need to go home and sit in timeout?" No! Timeout IS NOT what they need or it would have already worked! What that child needs is not to be spoiled but disciplined with an ass whooping...I'm not talking about child abuse, I'm talking about three or four lashes across their asses, as needed.

Actually, none of these brats are to blame. No, it's the so-called "PARENTS" who are at blame! It began going downhill with my parents generation. The parents of the 1970s-1980s are the generations that wanted to spare their children any of the LESSONS of life that they grew up with. Things like restriction, that meant no TV or telephone for a day or longer, depending upon the severity of what they had done wrong. Then there was corporal punishment for the more serious offenses, things like: lying to an adult, stealing from anyone, or getting sent to the principals office. Nowadays there are POLICE OFFICERS in the schools!!!! The days of getting into a fist-fight at school are over! The police arrest school children for fighting! ARRESTED! But I can see why they have police in the schools.

These children of the X generation are prone to violence, which stems from hour upon hour of these violent video games. You may ask if I seriously believe that video games can be the cause of violence. I ask YOU this; when was the last time you actually paid attention to the games they are playing? Did you know that in the game GRAND THEFT AUTO, I-V, to accumulate extra points and lives, you simply drive your STOLEN CAR down main street, pick up prostitutes, and beat the Hell out of them. Now, the video games are rated for maturity, but, the pimple-faced kid at the local GameStop, or other video game outlets, don't care how old your kid is....all he wants to do is sell a game. Like I said, if you don't think it effects a child's mind then you are definitely part of the problem. These games have desensitized children to death and violence. Even the crime rates have risen among the juvenile ages under 17. There are now, unbelievably, higher rates of physical abuse by boyfriends/girlfriends.

I also hold the new PUBLIC INDOCTRINATION DAYCARE CENTERS (aka Public schools) partially to blame because of what the US government has them teaching! Take a look at a new Social Studies book. For instance, look at how the books look on history. Take the Civil War era for example. It talks only about the plight of the slave. It does not teach that secession was first talked about 30 years prior to South Carolina's secession from the Union, that the first mentions of the word were over the over-taxation of cotton going to Northern mills. Or the books make it seem as though EVERY Southerner owned slaves, and that every master beat their slaves until they couldn't walk. A servant at the time of the war cost more than the average man's yearly wage; therefore, only a few could afford this luxury, and when you have invested that sort of money then you aren't going to beat them to a point that they couldn't work! That would be plain stupid. Did you know that Lincoln's Emancipation Proclaimation only freed the slaves in the 13 Southern States? The slaves in the North, such as General Grant's personal slaves, were not freed by Lincoln! ONLY THOSE OF THE SOUTH WERE FREED!!!! Lincoln had no desire to end slavery. Just look it up! It is health class that they learn about homoserxuality. The law forbids the teaching of heterosexuality! They are teaching the fundamentals of Islam, but are forbidden to teach anything about other religions. In these indoctrination camps, students act anyway they feel like on any given day! They curse in class at each other and at faculty members. They even have high schools, now, where the students are there because they can't handle the oppressive regimen of classes. Here they come and go as they please! The World Economic Forum ranks us 48th  in math and science education. On international math tests, the United States is near the bottom of industrialized countries (the 34 members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development), and we’re in the middle in science and reading. Similarly, although we used to have one of the top percentages of high-school and college graduates among the OECD countries, we’re now in the basement for high-school and the middle for college graduates. And these figures don’t take into account the leaps in educational attainment in China, Singapore, and many developing countries.

 Then there are the obnoxious parents who believe that their children are superior to any other child because they go to the finest schools. They drive around with their "My Child Is An Honor Student At such and such School," well, I hate being the bearer of bad news, but your child has to have private tutors and other private lessons to achieve a passing grades. It says to me that your obnoxious brat is too dumb to pass a class on his/her own wit and intelligence. Little Johnny can make it through all levels of a game because he knows the proper way to BITCH-SLAP a whore, but he can't comprehend anything he is reading, or he can't multiply past single numbers.

So, come on people, before you have children of your own, think about what you are doing! Are you having a child or a new BFF? You can't be their friend and a good parent at the same time! It DOES NOT work that way! Be a good parent and find some adult friends. I promise it will make the world a better place!
