Presidential Firsts For BO

For the Record: Obama’s Presidential Firsts

1• First President to Preside Over a Cut to the Credit Rating of the United States Government even after the debt-ceiling crisi, which was an unneccessary crisis, our credit rating is going to drop to AA from AAA because the Federal government is spending moore than they are collecting.

2• First President to Violate the War Powers Act BO has enlisted our military to help rebels take control of Lybia. We have no reason to be there, other than the UN needs America for our military might as the World Police force. If we would disolve our membership in the UN we could save billions each month.

3• First President to Orchestrate the Sale of Murder Weapons to Mexican Drug Cartels the DEA has screwed up and with the full knowledge of the White House. Now these weapons are being used against our Border Patrol agents. One Border Patrolman has already lost his life at the hands of a drug cartel member with one of these weapons. We need to bring our troops home and protect our borders. And if we can get involved in all these little civil wars around the world, let's bring our troops home and invade Mexico. The Mexican president wants the US to allow his citizens to enter the US so they can work and send their money back to Mexico, so, let's just make them all US citizens by aquiring the entire country. Peace through superior firepower.

4• First President to be Held in Contempt of Court for Illegally Obstructing Oil Drilling in the Gulf of Mexico here we are with $4.00 a gallon gas because we rely on other countries for our oil supply. We have some of the largest oil deposits in the world but BO apparently has made some kind of deals with OPEC or he would break us free of these bonds that keep our troops in the Middle East'

5• First President to Defy aq Federal Judge's Court Order to Cease Implementing the "Health Care Reform" Law so, now the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT is telling our employers how to insure their workers and causing major rate hikes that trickle down to the working man.

6• First President to Require All Americans to Purchase a Product From a Third Party BO is going to force us to purchase the new light bulbs, just by the stroke of a pen. This man cares nothing for the CONSTITUTION, it is just in the way of his SOCIALISTIC take over.

7• First President to Spend aTrillion Dollars on "Shovel Ready" Jobs- and Later Admits There was No Such Thing as Shovel-Ready Jobs Just another case of pocket-lining for someone in Washington. This is just one of BO's lies that cost the tax payers a $TRILLION. We have already spent 3/4 of the debt-ceiling raise in the first week. I think the government needs to shut down everything except patroll and Social Security
8• First President to Abrogate Bankruptcy Law to Turn Over Control of Companies to His Union Supporters The Obama administration's behavior in the Chrysler bankruptcy is a profound challenge to the rule of law. Secured creditors -- entitled to first priority payment under the "absolute priority rule" -- have been browbeaten by an American president into accepting only 30 cents on the dollar of their claims. Meanwhile, the United Auto Workers union, holding junior creditor claims, will get about 50 cents on the dollar.
The absolute priority rule is a linchpin of bankruptcy law. By preserving the substantive property and contract rights of creditors, it ensures that bankruptcy is used primarily as a procedural mechanism for the efficient resolution of financial distress. Chapter 11 promotes economic efficiency by reorganizing viable but financially distressed firms, i.e., firms that are worth more alive than dead.
Violating absolute priority undermines this commitment by introducing questions of redistribution into the process. It enables the rights of senior creditors to be plundered in order to benefit the rights of junior creditors.
9• First President to Bypass Congress and Implement the DREAM Act Through Executive Fiat The new rules were quietly announced with a new memo from top officials at the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. The “prosecutorial discretion” memo says officials need not enforce immigration laws if illegal immigrants are enrolled in an education center or if their relatives have volunteered for the US military.
“They’re pushing the [immigration] agents to be even more lax, to go further in not enforcing the law,” said Kris Kobach, Kansas’ secretary of state. “At a time when millions of Americans are unemployed and looking for work, this is more bad news coming from the Obama administration… [if the administration] really cared about putting Americans back to work, it would be vigorously enforcing the law,” said Kobach, who has helped legislators in several states draft local immigration-related laws.
10• First President to "Order a Secret Amnesty Program That Stopped the Deportation of Illegal Innigrants Across the US, Including Those with Criminal Convictions" “ Senate leaders launched an investigation into the stealth amnesty program that led to a 40% increase in the dismissal of deportations last year. Homeland Security officials denied it existed and scrambled to conceal details, according to new information revealed by the newspaper that originally cracked the story.
Internal Homeland Security documents obtained under public records laws prove that agency officials destroyed internal memos of the secretive process and lied to cover up the wrongdoing. Through a spokesman, one Texas Senator involved in the probe confirmed that DHS misled the public and Congress about its policy of directing dismissals of case.

11• First President to Demand a Company Hand Over $20 Billion to One of His Political Apointees BP’s announcement that it will pay $20 billion into an escrow account may sound like a win for the USA and victims of the Gulf oil spill. In fact, it could be a powerful new tool for the White House’s political machine, and is the latest manifestation of the Obama administration’s willingness to work outside the law. It also lays bare Big Oil’s willingness to get cozy with the left.
There is no legal basis for the Obama administration to induce BP to pay $20 billion into a kitty to be controlled by one of its political appointees. While this may play well in populist circles, create the appearance of action, and was apparently easy to foist onto BP’s hapless management, it weakens the rule of law by essentially circumventing the law.

12• First President to Terminate America's Ability to Put a Mnan into Space JFK started the space race against Russia, Russia has won. With the ending of the space shuttle missions, we will now have to buy a ticket on a Russian flight to be able to get to the International Space Station.
•13 First President to Encourage Racial Discrimination and Intimidation at Polling Places Despite administration denials under oath, documents obtained by a watchdog group indicate that the decision not to pursue a clear-cut case of voter intimidation was indeed a political decision.
It was perhaps the most clear-cut case of voter intimidation ever. On Election Day 2008, New Black Panther Party members King Samir Shabazz, Malik Zulu Shabazz and Jerry Jackson were videotaped intimidating voters as they stood, dressed in military garb, outside a Philadelphia polling place.
Their conduct was so egregious that the Justice Department of President Bush charged the three thugs with violations of the 1965 Voting Rights Act through intimidation, threats and coercion. When none of the defendants filed a response or showed up at a subsequent hearing, you'd have thought the Justice Department would have won its suit by default.
But a new administration brought a new, and somewhat jaundiced, perspective. Instead, the Justice Department of President Obama essentially dropped the case in May 2009, letting two of the three walk and issuing a weak injunction against King Shabazz. He was forbidden from showing up at another Philadelphia polling place with another nightstick and intimidating other voters for the next three years, an action that was already illegal. He is presumably free to do the same thing in, say, New Jersey in 2012.
The U.S. Civil Rights Commission wanted to know why the case wasn't pursued and if political .
14• First President to Have a Law Signed By an "Auto-Pen" Wiyhout Being Pesent Generations of children learned the basics of the American legislative process from a “Schoolhouse Rock” cartoon, in which “Bill” sings, “If he signs me, then I’ll be a law.”
But now, apparently for the first time in United States history, a bill has been signed into law by autopen, at the direction of President Obama, who was in Europe on a weeklong trip.
Congress had passed legislation extending the Patriot Act for four years. With the existing terror-fighting authorities set to expire at midnight Thursday, the White House concluded that a mechanical signature would have to do.
With that, Mr. Obama turned the autopen, a machine that reproduces signatures and is ubiquitous in government and business for routine transactions — letters, photos, promotional materials — into the ultimate stand-in.
15• First President to Arbitrarily Declare an Existing Law Unconstitutional and Refuse to Enforce It
Attorney General Eric Holder released a statement saying that the Department of Justice will no longer defend Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act in court. Section 3 defines marriage for the federal government as a union between one man and one woman. According to the statement, President Barack Obama has decided that Section 3, the frequently challenged law that states the federal government must consider marriage a legal union between one man and one woman, is unconstitutional.
16• First President to Threaten Insurance Companies if they Publicly Speak out on the Reasons a Nation have to Look Forward to in the Offing- Higher Health Insurance Premiiums as Well as Hundreds of Billions in New Taxes, All on Top of the Costs of Compliance:
- Excise Tax on Charitable Hospitals (2010)
- Tax on Innovator Drug Companies (2010)
- Tax on Indoor Tanning Services (2010)
- Medicine Cabinet Tax (Jan 2011)
- HSA Withdrawal Tax Hike (Jan 2011)
- Corporate 1099-MISC Information Reporting (Jan 2012):
- Surtax on Investment Income (Jan. 2013)
- Flexible Spending Account Cap aka “Special Needs Kids Tax” (Jan 2013)
- Hike in Medicare Payroll Tax (Jan 2013)
- Tax on Medical Device Manufacturers (Jan 2013)
- Raise "Haircut" for Medical Itemized Deduction from 7.5% to 10% of AGI (Jan. 2013)
- Elimination of tax deduction for employer-provided retirement Rx drug coverage in coordination with Medicare Part D (Jan 2013)
- $500,000 Annual Executive Compensation Limit for Health Insurance Executives (Jan 2013)
- Individual Mandate Excise Tax (Jan 2014)
- Employer Mandate Tax (Jan 2014)
- Tax on Health Insurers (Jan 2014)
- Excise Tax on Comprehensive Health Insurance Plans (Jan 2018) Rate Increases
17• First President to Tell a Major Manufacturing Company in Which State They are Allowed to Locate a Factory  Mr. Obama has been touting his plan to double the country's export growth by 2015, thereby creating two million new jobs. Now one of the country's foremost exporters is under assault for seeking a lower-cost venue for manufacturing to stay globally competitive, and the President has had nothing to say.
According to the NLRB's complaint, Boeing acted illegally when it set up its new 787 assembly line in South Carolina, a right-to-work state, to avoid using the unionized workers in Washington state. The gripe comes from the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers, whose history of strikes against the airplane manufacturer in Washington state have been costly for Boeing.
18• First President to File Lawsuits Against the States He Swore an Oath to Protect (Az,. WI., OH., IN., etc,) BO files lawsuit through the Justice Department against Arizona for the immigration laws they had passed.
19• First President to Withdraw an Existing Coal Permit That Had Been Properly Issued Years Ago on oil and gas pales in comparison to the Obama administration's war on coal - the basis for over 50% of the electrical power generation in our country. The Obama administration is doing all that it can to completely kill our coal industry: "Coal is a dead man walkin'," says Kevin Parker, global head of asset management and a member of the executive committee at Deutsche Bank. "Banks won't finance them. Insurance companies won't insure them. The EPA is coming after them. . . . And the economics to make it clean don't work." . . .Not a single new coal power generation plant was built in 2010. And lest there be any question whether investors should put their money into coal mines, the EPA recently took the unprecedented step of withdrawing a Clean Water permit for a mine it had approved three years ago. The Environmental Protection Agency, in an unusual move, revoked a key permit for one of the largest proposed mountaintop-removal coal-mining projects in Appalachia, drawing cheers from environmentalists and protests from business groups worried their projects could be next. The decision to revoke the permit for Arch Coal Inc.’s Spruce Mine No. 1 in West Virginia’s rural Logan County marks the first time the EPA has withdrawn a water permit for a mining project that had previously been issued. . . .A spokeswoman for Arch said the company was “shocked and dismayed” by the agency’s decision, which it said would block an additional $250 million investment that would create 250 jobs. The company said it would appeal to the courts.… As the EPA stressed that the permit decision had no implications beyond the Spruce mine, business groups outside the coal industry said the government’s action raised questions about whether permits previously issued for other businesses could also be revoked, potentially stranding investments and costing jobs even as the economy continues to heal.
The EPA has just added a significant amount of risk for any investor considering investment in a coal mine. This is killing jobs in the oil and coal industries. This war on coal and oil will soon have major ramifications for the domestic cost and availability of energy. Update: Obama conducts this war even though his push for "green energy" is falling utterly flat. American Thinker covers the moras Obama has created with solar energy - a black hole for tax dollars and Democratic corruption that will not be replacing coal in our lifetime, if ever.

20• First President to Fire an Inspector General of Americorps for Catching One of His Friends in a Corruption Case
Unlimited power is apt to corrupt the minds of those who possess it; and this I know, my lords, that where laws end, tyranny begins."William Pitt The Elder, Speech to the House of Lords, 1770

The Democrats have achieved what amounts to complete power in America. And the far left wing of the Democratic Party, led by Obama, are skirting if not violating the law in order to get their way. Numerous acts of intimidation and abuse of power are showing up everywhere you look. That includes at least two egregious acts that have come to light just this day - the intimidation of a witnesses and Obama's unilateral decision to fire the Inspector General (IG) for Americorps who had recently investigated and received a judgment against a major Obama supporter.
21• First President to Propose an Executive Order Demanding Companies Their Political Contributions to Bid on Government Contracts President Obama has officially kicked off his 2012 re-election campaign, and don't Republicans know it. The president is expected any day now to sign an executive order that routs 70 years of efforts to get politics out of official federal business.
Under the order, all companies (and their officers) would be required to list their political donations as a condition to bidding for government contracts. Companies can bid and lose out for the sin of donating to Republicans. Or they can protect their livelihoods by halting donations to the GOP altogether—which is the White House's real aim. Think of it as "not-pay to play."
Whatever you call it, the order amounts to the White House brazenly directing the power of government against its political opponents—and at a time when the president claims to want cooperation on the budget and other issues. Senate Republicans from Mitch McConnell to Susan Collins are fuming, warning this is one political sucker punch too far, an unabashedly partisan move that will damage Senate work.
22• First President to Golf 73 Seperate Times in His First Two-and -a=Half Years in Office of Summit: Obama Hits The Links For 12th Straight Weekend, 73rd Round Since Taking Office…
Of course he dragged Boehner along to give himself some cover. Imagine if Bush went golfing every week for three straight months while the war was raging in Iraq? He’d be hounded mercilessly by the left and their MSM lapdogs.
But remember: he will not rest until all Americans have jobs, affordable homes, green-energy vehicles, and the environment is repaired, etc., etc., etc.
